Identity System and Conference Program
Cynthia Cano, Treasurer
Society for Marketing Advances |
This Fall I have been working with Cynthia Cano of Keyser University in producing the new identity and Conference Program for the Society for Marketing Advances. Cynthia is the Treasurer for the organization. The program is for their 26th Annual Conference which will be held in New Orleans, November 4-8, 2014. IRSC is a title sponsor for the event - next year, we look forward to a more extended relationship in next year's conference.
The printing of the program was created by Multicolor Printing in Stuart, Florida. Steve Schmoyer, President used a digital printer to complete the project. My student, Will Montoya helped in designing the Program which was a 40-page InDesign file that was then converted to a pdf and then assembled and printed digitally. In creating the new identity I developed a new image based on the organization's plan to increase membership and provide a more contemporary impact in recruiting new members. |

IRSC Library E-Books & Audio Book Cover Design
In my Visual Communication 2 course we are working with Mia Tignor and Alexis Carlson with the IRSC Library to create e-Book covers for the current collection on campus. Each student selects a title, researches the content of the story and creates a contemporary cover using layers and creative typography.
|
The classic covers include Jane Austin, Lord Jim, Frankensein, Heretics, Dracula, Othello, The Scarlett Letter and The Great Gatsby. It's great to work on classic projects that allow creativity in assembling a story for a cover design that is a fresh, original approach using layered Photoshop images.
