Proud To Be Part of the Historic Modernist Movement
Walt Hines - Space Shaft - Hard-Edge Acrylic Painting
My painting Space Shaft, created in 1970 has found it's way from a commission by a prominent modernist family in Connecticut to 20CDesign, a unique Gallery in the Dallas Design District where you will discover a uniquely curated selection of fine art, decorative objects and furniture. At the beginning of my career, I had several One-Man-Shows and got into many juried exhibitions in the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic and Florida areas. Not bad for a painting I created 50 years ago! During that same time at the Huntington Museum of Art in 1970, I also won First Place in one of the largest regional fine art competitions. My colleague Dr. Michael Carlebach, Chair of the Art Department at the University of Miami and Author of Origins of Photojournalism in America, would discuss the Modernist Movement with me, as I taught Design History at UM in 2002.

Talking vs Teaching
Marketing | Design | Articulation
Our Students Want Demonstrations,
Design Process & Instruction That Helps Them Become Self Sufficient! It's Called Experience - It Makes All the Difference I've been fortunate to have worked with so many creative, intelligent and interesting people in my life. Success can be described as how happy you are to do what is important to you each day. Design, Art & and Sports have been the motivating factors that have given me inspiration and the spirit for an exciting life. I've had the best jobs in the country - I've worked with great designers, the best artists, the strongest leaders, the best schools and I've had the best clients.
All my Student Success in Marketing & Design & Teaching is focused on demonstrating the Design Process to my students - I show how to create multiple solutions, how to present their work and how to use a Design Vocabulary. It's from extensive design experience and printing high-end work for 35 years all over the country! I don't talk - I teach - that is the primary difference - my students see it and appreciate it! They earn their grades in my classes and they do it with a good working attitude.
Employers listen to students explaining their work and the first 15 words out of their mouths may determine whether they are articulate enough to work in their company. I've created millions of dollars of design with businesses all over the country! I've had the Best Jobs, the Best Students, the Best Career, I've Worked with the Best Printers and Had Great Clients who pay on time! With the $5,000 check from the Sunrise Theatre that came in 12/16/2020 - it's a total of $100,000 benefitting my students at IRSC. |

4th District of Florida AAF Fall Conference
November 13-15, 2020 • Marriott Hutchinson Island Resort
A Note from Heather Christman, 4AAF Governor of Florida • American Advertising Federation
Walt,
I just wanted to thank you and your team again for all your help with planning the 4AAF District Fall Conference on the Treasure Coast. We couldn't have pulled it all together as easily without all the help provided with obtaining generous sponsorships, Friday night comedy entertainment, the three speakers you lined up during our meals, the signage you had printed, the essential logo printed face masks and all the goodies provided in the conference bags. The conference was a great success in this uncertain year of 2020 and I can't thank you enough for your time and dedication to the 4th District AAF! Go Fourth!
